We too went to Camp Madawaska for 10 years or more. We were so sad when TSA sold the property and we could no longer go there. It is certainly a spectacular place and meant so much to so many. What a shame no one can use this beautiful part of God's earth anymore. My husband and I did canoe in there from Algonqun Park one Labgour day weekend after The Salvation Army sold it and would love to contact the new owners to see if they would consider selling us one of the cottages which The Salvation Army had built on that lake - but we don't even know how to contact the new owners. There were about 9 lakes on that property - I'd be happy to even buy a small piece of land on one of the smaller lakes like McNevin lake. If anyone knows how to contact the new owners - please email me at bsimard@rogers.com
